I am the proud owner of one 24" H-Bar SS 416R barrel and one 16" H-Bar Black Shot Peen 416R barrel. I built these two AR's to take up to our youth camp this summer and I must say that these AR's were quite the hit. We had children from as young as 7 years old up to young adults shooting these two rifles and not a single one of the young and older complained about recoil. As everyone knows, when it comes to the younger children recoil is a big thing. If they get beat-up, they will very quickly lose interest because they are afraid of the firearm. Who wouldn't be afraid to fire a rifle that beats them up and bruises them? Well, with these two that was not an issue at all. These kids shot well over 3,500 rounds in just a few days at camp and were begging for more. It was a good thing I ran out of ammo, otherwise I'd still be there. Lol. Now for me what I was most impressed with was the accuracy in which these kids were able to obtain at such a young age. Not being afraid of the firearms they were shooting of course makes such a huge difference, but also to be accurate you must start out with an accurate firearm. With the 24" barreled AR we were getting groups of 1 ¼ MOA at 300 yards, and with the 16" barrel we were getting 1 ½ – 1 ¾ MOA at the 300 yards. Not too darn bad, I think. Of course, most of the kids were just happy they hit a target at 30 yards but the older kids that have been shooting and hunting for a while were getting incredible results. I've been shooting for well over 40 years and so I do have a considerable amount of shooting experience, but still my eyesight is not as good as it used to be "I'm not getting old, I'm just getting Mature" and I can't hold a rifle as steady as I used to but I still got those 300 yard 1 ¼ MOA groups. As far as I'm concerned that says a whole lot the barrel and the ammo that we used. I am very much impressed by my Sharps Rifle Company Barrels and Ammo. The exterior finish of these barrels is very well done, they didn't cut any corners in the production, that much is certain. The rifling is very clean cut and deep enough to make it really count. So far, I have just the two builds but I plan on having at least 5 more complete by Christmas to give to each of my kids. They too are very impressed by the sharps Barrels and Ammo. Also, in these two AR’s I have the XPB BCG’s with the DLC Coating and they are very much worth every penny they ask for them. These BCG’s are so smooth and they look really nice too. But most of all they are strong and so easy to clean. So, if you’re looking to build yourself the ultimate AR for Varmint and or Food Hunting, this is the way to go. Get yourself the length of Barrel you want, couple it with the XPB BCG with the DLC and then their ammo and you are off to the best start you can ask for. The only thing that would make it better is a Starbucks in the hunting blind. It doesn’t get much better than that. So, give it a try, you will not regret it. Great job SRC. PS. Sharps Rifle Company is also one of the oldest Rifle companies around today. When you buy Sharps, you’re also buying a part of American history. They have been around since 1848, not many companies can offer that.

The chamber was rough even after I cleaned it out before shooting it , it left ring marks on the cartridge I had to run a finish reamer through it and polish before handing it off to my customer. This is my 4th barrel in this caliber and this is the first one to come to me like this , it won't be my last one I order from you guys I 'm thinking of building me an AR in this caliber with the 18" barrel.Thank you Ray owner of Six 3 Gunworks
