Introduced in 2007 by Hornady, the 6.5 Creedmoor has quickly become many Americans go-to caliber and it’s not hard to see why. Initially designed with long-distance target shooters in mind, the 6.5 Creedmoor quickly become quite popular with hunters as well, being touted as a great caliber for deer, antelope, hogs and coyotes among others. It offers great efficiency while being light on recoil. The smaller powder charge on the 6.5 Creedmoor contributes to a longer-lasting barrel as it causes less barrel wear.
